Alsever's Solution is a isotonic balanced salt solution and routinely used in a wide variety of cell- and tissue culture as well as hematology applications, e. g. as an anticoagulant or blood preservative. Alsever's Solution permits the storage of whole blood under refrigeration conditions at 2-8 °C for 2 weeks.
